Day 1 Cape Town

Arrival in Cape Town and transfer to your chosen hotel were you will be met by a Munl Tours representative. Day at leisure.
Cape Town “Mother City”, always vibrant and full of life, from the Bo-Kaap to the Waterfront you will be able to soak in the culture of this cosmopolitan city. A visit up Table Mountain should be on the top of your “to do“ list. Awarded the status of one of the new seven wonders of nature, it offer beautiful views of the Cape Town coast line.

Days 2 & 3 Cape Town

Breakfast at the hotel, days at leisure.
We recommend the following day tours: City Tour, Cape Point, Cape Winelands or Robben Island.

Day 4 Cape Town / Rovos Rail

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to Cape Town station for the departure of the iconic Rovos Rails journey to Pretoria.
Travelling in the direction of Worcester in the Hex River Valley before climbing up the face of the
escarpment to Touws River. Lunch is served in the dining car/s and tea in the midway lounge or observations car.
Disembark at the quaint little village of Matjiesfontein for an opportunity to stroll through this
historic settlement. Back on the train continue through the Karoo via Beaufort West and De Aar towards Kimberley.
Dinner is served in the dining car/s. Overnight on the train.

Day 5 Rovos Rail

Breakfast is served in the dining car/s until 10h00, lunch is served in the dining car/s.
Arrive at the atmospheric railway station of Kimberley, disembark for a tour of the Diamond Mine Museum and the extraordinary Big Hole. Continue the journey via Warrenton and Bloemhof.
Tea in the midway lounge car or observation car at the rear of the train.
Dinner is served in the dining car/s en route to Klerksdorp. Overnight on the train.

Day 6 Rovos Rail / Johannesburg

Breakfast is served in the dining car/s until 10h00 as the train continues to travel northeast through
the goldfields of the Witwatersrand via Krugersdorp, Germiston and Johannesburg.
Arrival at Pretoria Central station followed by a panoramic tour of Pretoria – South Africa’s administrative Capital. Drop off at your chosen hotel in Sandton, where you will have the reminder of the afternoon to explore Mandela Square and its upmarket shopping centres.

Day 7 Johannesburg / Okavango Delta

Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for your flight to Maun.
Upon arrival in Maun, connect on your light aircraft flight to a lodge in the heart of the Okavango Delta – the world’s largest inland delta.
Here you will be able to appreciate the natural water wonders the Delta has to offer with its rich and diverse vegetation and exceptional bird life. Activities include exploring the delta by motorised boat or mokoro (traditional canoe) as well as guided bush walks in nearby islands. Lunch on arrival, afternoon activity and dinner.

Day 8 Okavango Delta

Full day at the lodge including all meals and two activities.

Day 9 Okavango Delta /Savute (Chobe National Park Southern West Region)

Breakfast at the lodge followed by a charter flight to a lodge in Savute.
Situated in the Southern West region of the Chobe National Park, Savute, famous for its large herds of elephant, zebra and wildebeest, is a phenomenal safari destination. You will have the opportunity to also view the endangered African wild dog, leopard, hyena as well as an incredible concentration of lion. Lunch on arrival, afternoon activity and dinner.

Days 10 & 11 Savute

Full day at the lodge including all meals and two game activities.

Day 12 Savute / Johannesburg

Breakfast at the lodge followed by a charter flight to Maun, for your connecting flight to Johannesburg.

End of trip.
